Colombian President Gustavo Petro said Wednesday that his country will sever diplomatic ties with Israel, whose leader -Benjamin Netanyahu- described as "genocidal" over the Occupation’s aggression against the Gaza Strip.

"Tomorrow (Thursday) diplomatic relations with the state of Israel will be severe... for having a genocidal president," Petro told people in a May Day rally in the capital Bogota - cited by Agence France-Presse (AFP).
